Welcome (or welcome back) to Francis Howell Union! Since opening our doors in 1997, FHU has proudly supported thousands of students on their path to graduation. Whether you are new to our school or returning for another year, I hope you’ve had time to rest and recharge, especially after the challenges of the past few years.
One of the best things about school is that each year offers a fresh start. It brings with it a shared sense of hope, anticipation, excitement - and yes, a little nervousness too. That’s all part of the journey, and we’re in it together.
Our school is located on the second floor at 801 Corporate Centre Drive in O'Fallon. I’m excited to kick off this year with our students and staff, who are bringing fresh ideas and renewed energy to continually grow our program and meet student needs. We’ll continue to offer dedicated bus routes, and students who wish to drive can purchase a parking permit in the main office for $50.
At FHU, our mission is to help students to overcome obstacles, assist students in graduating from high school and equip students to succeed in a post-secondary environment. Francis Howell Union is a unique and special place - a school filled with great students who benefit from a different approach to their education.
It is an honor to serve as the principal of FHU. I’m proud to work alongside a passionate staff and incredible students. We’re looking forward to a great year - and I hope you are too!

Francis Howell Union High School is a supportive learning community committed to excellence that promotes communication, collaboration, critical thinking skills and creativity.
As a District focused on continuous improvement, each of our 23 schools develops a site-based school improvement plan every year. The plan outlines the goals and actions the building plans to take throughout the year to improve various areas of performance.
